Maiden Spirit Mask

The Igbo of Nigeria have masks that are used in different types of ceremonies. This mask, the maiden spirit mask, is meant to enchant people. It appears during festivals with its dainty green face, fine hairstyle, bright costume, and graceful dance steps. When the maiden spirit mask is danced, it exemplifies the Igbo ideals of female morality and beauty.
