Benefit Events

The Michael C. Carlos Museum is legendary for its signature galas and benefit parties. Veneralia, the "festival of Venus" as it was known in ancient times, is the Museum's signature spring annual gala. Each fall the Museum hosts Bacchanal, a riotous cocktail party in homage to ancient festivals of Bacchus, god of wine. Supporting these memorable events helps bring world-class exhibitions and programming to all our audiences.

It’s the party to end all parties. In the Maya calendar, 2012 is a big year. . .and it just got bigger with Bacchanal. Inspired by the Carlos Museum’s ancient American collections, Bacchanal 19 will provide exclusive after-hours access and a private viewing of one of the Museum’s most captivating exhibitions: ‘For I Am the Black Jaguar’: Shamanic Visionary Experience in Ancient American Art.
